Questions

For all who seek to better understand themselves and the world, it is good to ask questions. Questions clarify. Questions challenge. Questions help us grow.

So let it be with your recovery. Especially in the beginning, there will be much that is strange, new, and puzzling. Do not ever be ashamed to ask someone-or the group about anything recovery-related that you’d like to know. That is very much what meetings are for. It’s hard-we know. Nobody wants to appear dumb-especially such self-sufficient lone wolves as us. But, as the recovery saying goes, “you can save face or save your ass”-but not both. We are here to learn, to do, to live. Stay open, stay willing, stay teachable. Ignorance is just another form of slavery. Learning from each other helps keep us free.
